由美国耶鲁大学创立和管理的平台 Photogrammar 是一个致力于管理搜集美国大萧条时期纪实影像的平台。
大萧条是第二次世界大战前最为严重的世界性经济衰退。大萧条的开始时间依国家的不同而不同，但绝大多数在1930年起，持续到30年代末，甚至是40年代末。大萧条是二十世纪持续时间最长、影响最广、强度最大的经济衰退。
平台收集了 1935 年至 1945 年间在美国拍摄的 17 万张影像，摄影师中不乏 Arthur Rothstein 及 Dorothea Lange 等大师。
这张由 Dorothea Lange 拍摄的《移民母亲》照片可谓是记录大萧条时期的代表之作，描绘出在加利福尼亚州大萧条时期的贫困采豆人：佛罗伦萨·欧文斯·汤普森（Florence Owens Thompson）一位有七个孩子的母亲，她当时32岁。1936年3月摄。
